Privacy policy

Quiet Leverage runs without trackers, ad pixels, or behavioural analytics. The shortest version: we collect your email if you subscribe and we set one cookie if you unlock downloads. That's it.

This page describes how the site actually operates. It's the publisher's good-faith description and not legal advice. Questions or corrections: admin@myquietleverage.com.

What we collect

Your email, if you submit the signup form. Email goes to Kit (our newsletter platform) via a direct fetch from your browser to app.kit.com. We use the email only to send the Quiet Leverage newsletter. Kit handles double opt-in confirmation and every email includes an unsubscribe link.

One cookie, qlv_unlocked, set when you unlock library downloads. The cookie lives only in your browser. It contains the value 1 and nothing else — no user ID, no session token, no correlation to your email address. It tells the site that this browser has unlocked the downloads so the library entry pages reveal the download links instead of the email gate. The cookie expires after one year.

What we don't collect

No Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any other analytics product.
No Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any other ad-tracking pixel.
No fingerprinting scripts.
No comment system, no reactions, no profiles.
No A/B testing infrastructure.
No server-side correlation between your email address and the qlv_unlocked cookie. The cookie is set client-side after Kit accepts the signup; the two systems don't talk.

The site is static HTML hosted on Vercel. Vercel maintains standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and operational reasons, per their own privacy policy. We don't read these logs. We don't pipe them into any other system.

Third parties we use

Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — newsletter platform. When you submit the signup form, your email goes to Kit. Kit stores it, sends the welcome email, sends future newsletter issues, and handles unsubscribes. Kit's privacy policy applies: kit.com/privacy.

Vercel — static-site host. The site is served from Vercel's edge. They see your IP and user agent in standard request logs. Vercel's privacy policy applies: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Google Fonts — the Newsreader serif and Geist Mono fonts. Your browser fetches font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google's privacy policy applies. If you prefer, browser extensions like Decentraleyes serve these locally.

What we don't share

Your email goes to Kit and stays at Kit. We don't sell it. We don't share it with sponsors, advertisers, or partners. There are no sponsors, advertisers, or partners.

The downloaded tools

Tools on this site are downloaded as PowerShell scripts you run on your own machine. They have no telemetry. They don't phone home. They don't sync to a Quiet Leverage server. Once you download a tool, the tool's behaviour is between you, your machine, and (for vendor-API tools) the vendor system you point it at.

For vendor-API tools (ClickUp, Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday, Trello, Microsoft Project XML exports): your API key, your token, and your data flow directly from your machine to the vendor's API. They never pass through any Quiet Leverage server. We can't see your credentials. We can't see your project data.

Your rights

If you want your email removed from the newsletter list, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email. That removes you from Kit immediately.

If you want confirmation of what we have (just an email address if you're subscribed, nothing otherwise) or a complete deletion request beyond unsubscribe, email admin@myquietleverage.com. Standard GDPR and CCPA rights apply.

To remove the qlv_unlocked cookie, clear cookies for myquietleverage.com in your browser settings.

Children

The site is aimed at working project managers and scrum masters. It's not directed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be posted on this page with the updated date at the top. If you're subscribed, significant policy changes will also be noted in the next newsletter issue.
